marriott marquis bangkok queen’s park: คุณกำลังดูกระทู้
Located next to one of the Thai capital’s loveliest parks, the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park is a luxurious 5 star hotel with 1,388 beautifully furnished rooms and 101 suites, eight food and beverage outlets, an excellent gym, and a full service spa.
My two-night hosted stay at the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park was my last stop on a four week trip through Thailand, which included visits to Pattaya, Bangkok, and Phuket.
On this trip, I spent a total of 20 nights staying at 12 hotels and eight nights at a friend’s house.
Each one of the hotels I stayed at had something to recommend it.
I was most impressed by this hotel’s convenient location, its excellent breakfast buffet, its stellar gym, and its direct access to a leafy park.
The Arrival …
The Arrival – After spending a couple of nights at a friend’s place, I took a taxi across town to the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park.
The Lobby …
The lobby – after alighting from my taxi, I was escorted into the lobby, which was quite grand, with extravagant chandeliers, polished marble floors, sprays of orchids, a comfortable lobby lounge, and a talented pianist playing classical music.
Checking In …
Checking In – there were several individual check–in counters behind the lobby, where I checked in. This added an unexpected sense of privacy.
My Room …
My Room – I stayed in room 2558 on the 25th floor, a deluxe room with one king-sized bed.
– I stayed in room 2558 on the 25th floor, a deluxe room with one king-sized bed.
Measuring 32 square metres, or 344 square feet, the room had a circular work space, a flat screen television, and an armchair with a table.
The hotel has a total of 1,287 rooms and 101 suites.
The Bathroom …
The Bathroom – clad in beige marble, the bathroom had a chocolate brown marble counter top and a walk-in shower.
The View …
The View – if I looked straight out, I had a view of the city. If I looked down, I had a view of the swimming pool.
The Mini Bar …
The Mini Bar – the room had a mini-bar with fruit juice, bottled water, beer, two bottles of wine, and snacks.
The Breakfast …
The Breakfast Buffet – served in the Goji Kitchen + Bar, the breakfast buffet was extravagant
There were numerous cooking stations serving Thai, other Asian, and international fare as well as fresh fruit, pastries, the list goes on.
But one dish particularly stood out …
The Honey Glazed Ham!
Honey Glazed Ham – one of my pet peeves about breakfast buffets in many hotel restaurants is that they serve thin slices of lunch-meat style ham that is floating in a tray of water.
Not at the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park !
OMG! Despite an immense selection of mouth-watering dishes, this was the star of the show as far as I was concerned.
I went back for seconds the first day, and this was my main course for breakfast the following day.
Not only was the ham itself as good as it gets, it was accompanied by a skillet full of succulent stewed pineapple.
In addition to the breakfast buffet, the restaurant also serves American breakfasts, Continental breakfasts, and an a la carte breakfast menu.
The eatery also serves lunch and dinner
The Other Food and Beverage Outlets …
The Lobby Lounge – serving cocktails, coffee, tea, and light meals. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Pagoda Chinese Restaurant – serving Cantonese fare, open for lunch and dinner.
Siam Tea Room – serving traditional Thai dishes, teas, and pastries, open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Soba Factory – serving Japanese cuisine, open for lunch and dinner.
Akira Back Restaurant and Bar – serving pan-Asian cuisine, open for lunch and dinner.
ABar – serving cocktails, open for dinner.
ABar Rooftop – serving cocktails, with one of the largest selections of gin in Bangkok, open for dinner.
The Swimming Pool …
The Swimming Pool – located on the fourth floor, the swimming pool has a Jacuzzi pool and a snack bar serving light refreshments.
The Fitness Centre …
Fitness Center – located on the ninth floor, the fitness centre is surprisingly spacious and well equipped with several cardio-vascular machines, free weights, and Life Fitness weight-lifting equipment.
And there was one facility that I have never seen at a hotel before …
A Squash Court!
The gym even has a squash court. It is open 24/seven. Trainers are available.
Location, Location, Location …
Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park is located on a bustling side street off Sukhumvit Road in the heart of one of Bangkok’s most popular tourist districts.
The side street itself is lined with day spas, boutiques, food and beverage outlets, tailors and mini marts.
The hotel is located adjacent to Benchasiri Park and has a direct entrance to the park through a back door.
Right next to the park is The Emporium, one of Bangkok’s toniest shopping malls.
Transport – It is a 15 minute walk or 6 minute taxi ride from the hotel to the Phrom Phong BTS Station on the Sukhimvit Line.
If you are walking to the BTS station, however, you can take a short cut through Benchasiri Park.
Not only is the walk much more pleasant, it is also much quicker.
The hotel is 17 miles northwest of Suvarnabhumi Bangkok International Airport (BKK). The estimated taxi fare is 600 Thai baht.
The hotel does not provide a complimentary shuttle service. The hotel’s limousine service costs 500 Thai bhat each way and reservations are required.
The hotel is 15 southeast of Don Mueang International Airport (DMK). The estimated taxi fare is 400 Thai baht.
The hotel does not provide a complimentary shuttle service to DMK, either. The AOT limousine service is 1,200 Thai baht each way, and reservations are required.
BKK is used mostly for international flights. DMK is used mostly for domestic flights. Most budget airlines – including foreign ones – also use DMK.
The Verdict …
The hotel had lots of buzz, the facilities were excellent, and the location was hard to beat.
It took me a while to discover the short cut to Bencharisi Park, but once I did, that became my favoured way to get into and out of the hotel.
The park was not only a green oasis, it was also full of life. There were even free aerobics classes every evening at 6 pm.
Considering the hotel’s spacious and well equipped gym and its proximity to a park with basketball courts, volleyball courts, and other sports facilities, this hotel would be good choice for fitness addicts.
If I had to name just one thing about the hotel, however, it would have to be the buffet breakfast served at the Goji Kitchen + Bar. I’m not a big fan of breakfast buffets, but in this case, I’ll make an exception.
I’d go back to have breakfast there just for the glazed ham and stewed pineapple!

[NEW] Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park Hotel Review (Bangkok, Thailand) | marriott marquis bangkok queen’s park – Sambeauty
I’ve been a Marriott brand advocate ever since I started blogging years ago. This is one of the most consistent brands that I’ve worked with, and has proven it time and time again through dozens of stays. While visiting Bangkok, Thailand, I made a stop at the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park Hotel. There are several Marriott’s in Bangkok, but the Queen’s Park property is located near both BTS Phrom Phong and BTS Asoke stations.

First and foremost, it’s important to note that this is the largest hotel in the Bangkok. The property is divided into two towers and the lobby was much more extravagant than I expected. After speaking with the lobby staff, we were escorted up to the M Club Lounge on the 27th floor.
M Club Lounge was very expansive and had more to offer than the standard versions. For example, they offer a light lunch from 12 PM to 2 PM every day. The food was great. I can still remember the taste of the beef stew, perfect! After enjoying the lounge for a while, we headed to the other tower, to see our M Suite on the 31st floor.
I opened the door to my M Suite and had a rush of emotions and memories from previous Marriott stays! Marriott interior design tends to suit my tastes perfectly. Straight lines and symmetry make me happy. The living room had a seating area, coffee facilities and desk. The suite look down on the pool and the rest of Bangkok. Thank you very much Marriott for the mango dipped in chocolate!
The bedroom also had a minimalist flair and the always incredibly comfortable Marriott bedding. The room came equipped with a suit rack. Nice!
The bathroom of this M Suite ran almost the entire length of it, this meant it was spacious. The bathroom had tons of closet space, a huge bathtub and partitioned shower stall and toilet. The toiletries looked great in their box.
The Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park Hotel pool, gym, steam room, sauna, and spa could be found on the ninth floor. The fitness center was quite spacious with tons of cardio equipment, free weights and weight machines. I loved the other facilities, including the steam room and sauna, located in the changing rooms. It felt like they were my own private facilities, because no one was there both days that I visited. Definitely two thumbs up to the relaxation facilities!
During the stay I also experienced the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park Hotel’s Quan Spa. We went for the signature Benja Malee Ancient Flower Remedy treatment, which lasted 2.5 hours. This was quite the marathon of spa treatments. Greeted with a smile and welcome drink, I immediately noticed the appealing interior design of the spa. The treatment rooms were a bit darker in tones, but comfortable nonetheless.
The spa treatment started out with a body scrub, progressing to an aromatic massage and finished with a hot compress. Overall, the spa treatment was moving and left me feeling relaxed. The spa visit concluded with a cup of hot tea and snack.
Food and beverage at the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park Hotel was exemplary! We enjoyed almost all of our meals at the property, whether in their club lounge or the other restaurants and bars. Food in the lounge from breakfast to lunch to dinner was all tasty and offered a solid variety, so you won’t get tired of the options. For the other meals, we also tried Akira Back restaurant and the ABar & ABar Rooftop. ABar & ABar Rooftop is their rooftop bar which you can read about in more depth here, and Akira Back is their Asian restaurant that really pushes the limits of various cuisines which you can read about here.
The stay at the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park Hotel in Thailand was action-packed! The Marriott service was consistent as expected. They did a great job from start to finish, and I would love to visit again soon. I will never forget the comfort level from the famous Marriott bedding. Flawless. The location of this property is also quite convenient, between the Asoke and Phrom Phong BTS stations. I’m sure that you will enjoy yourself, much like I did, at the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park Hotel!

Hyatt Regency Hua Hin + The Barai Spa
Sharing to you this video of Hyatt Regency Hua Hin (still in the middle of this pandemic 🦠)
The hotel is a huge property, well landscaped, well kept and they have organized activities that you can participate in.
The breakfast is among the best from the 15 hotels I’ve stayed at in the last 4 months in Thailand.
Room lighting could be improved. The walkin closet was dark, the foyer was dark, and the overall room space had deficient lighting. Also the blinds were not room darkening enough to sleep late. (and this was a Regency Executive suite room🤦♀️)
Overall, Hyatt Regency Hua Hin is a great hotel choice for a short vacay away from Bangkok. It is LGBTQ friendly and pet friendly as well.
