How to recharge AC in a car. Want cold air in your car this summer? I show you a quick and cheap way to get cold air if you have a slow leak in your AC system by recharging your AC system with refrigerant. I chose this refrigerant because the sealer in this product is a conditioner so it wont damage the ac system or the ac recovery machines mechanics use.

Every shade tree mechanics thumbs up for this amazing video
Going to AutoZone tomorrow. THANK YOU!!
The refrigerant's connector to my vehicles low pressure port got stuck and will not come off. Any ideas what to do?
Very detailed educational video about recharging your AC. I will shock my wife who has been downing my system once I return home.
This man is a legend.
Thanks
What if my ac button won’t turn on because of the system is too low?
Excellent video Chris, thanks for the tutorial.
So before you installed the new ac fluid did u remove all the old stuff. I’m guessing you didn’t. U need to remove all the old stuff first. I should know I’m A/C certified. U must remove all the old stuff first or risk damage to the system.
My mechanics say using this store bought stuff is terrible because it has sealing repair kinda stuff in the ac and it’ll clog up my whole ac system so they let the air out and fill it with Freon. Thoughts ?
Just did this and it worked like a charm! lets go!
Excellent video Thank you.
Well explained, great video
Chris, I went to your link to get some info on the recharge Freon, and it did not show A/C Pro, but instead the link showed "Artic Freeze". What's up with this? Btw, keep pumping out these videos. Very professional and informative!
This is silly. If an a/c system doesn't work or has a leak or should be repaired properly by a professional. Moisture gets into the system and damage can occur to the receiver drier/ accumulator and other components. This type of repair is garbage.
Thank you Chris .
Almost all of this is wrong and bad advice. Take your vehicle to a shop that is licensed to work on AC. A GOOD shop won't charge you anything to tell you what is wrong with your AC. We have dozens of customers every year that try to put freon in their vehicle because it isn't cold when they actually have an electrical or ductwork issue. Adding freon to an already full system creates a second problem that then has to be addressed. I like how he completely ignored the amount of freon info on the AC sticker when looking for the freon type. Every system is designed for a specific amount of freon and the ONLY accurate way to charge your system is to have the freon pulled out, weighed, and the appropriate amount put back in it. Your compressor also doesn't need to be running to put the appropriate amount of freon in your system. The gauges on those cans are incredibly inaccurate and should never be used. The pressure doesn't tell you how much freon is currently in your system. Again, any reputable shop will explain all of this to you and tell you whether or not you actually need freon without charging you.
Before doing this, my compressor wasn't engaging at all and the gauge says it has nothing so that explains why. And I added the AC pro and it finally engaged! And my ac is now blowing arctic breeze lol 😆. But I noticed that the clutch engages on and off like every ten seconds, what should I do?? Is this a bad thing or I overcharged it?
2500 mechanic don't approve
So he didn't purge the air out the hose first. Before he done that so he just put air in his system. LOL.
Awesome Video Chris! Charged the wife's car AC for $30 and easily saved over $100 from having to take it to the shop.
When hitting the trigger and recharging the aircon, does the car need to be running with the AC on at the same time?
Dude is snowing in your car after filling it up
What if my refrigerant is low and the compressor is not running but the gauge is in red because of the compressor not running
What if my refrigerant is low and the compressor is not running but the gauge is in red
What if my 2004 Civic is in Red pressure? 🙁
Maybe I should check A/C fuses?
so what youre telling me is i dont need to buy a new car?
thanks sir u save my day
Thanks for this video! I'm a girl and don't know a lot about cars. I'm too lazy to take it to the shop so I wanted to try to fix my ac myself. This helps a lot!! New subscriber now.
Thanks Chris, I'm so damn sick of my 2015 Ecoboost Mustang! I love you, I'll tell you how it goes!
Thank You so much!!!!! We purchased this…. my husband gave up after a few times pulling the trigger, saying this stuff doesn’t work. I watched your video to learn how to do this and my air is now artic cold!!!!
